  2. Benvolios's personality is caring and being a soft sort of man. Prince on the other hand cares less about being in a fight, he would rather be the one that solves what the fighting is all about. Also from what we read we found out that Romeo's attitude has been depressing and sad from being alone and not having someone to love or someone on to love him. But we ended up not learning to much about the Montegue house hold.

  3. Along with Rachael, not only is Romeo's attitude depressing and sad, but he seems to whine a lot. I have a feeling that throughout the course of the story, Romeo will whine more than any of us want to hear. Hopefully he will take life as it comes so we don't have to hear any baby-ish behavior. Everyone has their bad times in life and he needs to learn to deal with it like the rest of us.

  4. I think Romeo is a little bit conceited because he likes Rose for her looks and not for her personality. Not to mention he seems to get depressed very easily and without a good cause.

  5. It seems like Tybalt wants to fight about every little thing, like at the beginning when Benvolio and him got in an argument and Benvolio didn't want to fight.

I also think that Romeo will end up being a bit of a cry-baby and I think maybe he had a really easy childhood or something because it seems like he hates not getting what he wants. Besides, he doesn't even know the person he's in "love" with, and yet he is so depressed about her not returning his feelings.

  6. I think Romeo is sort of what now a days we would call a "player" hes only going after that girl because of her looks. Looks definitely isn't what defines the meaning of love. So he needs to grow up and get over himself. You cant always get what you want.

  7. By what we have read Lady Capulet seem like the "irresponsible" type. Like she doesnt know her own childs age. she doesnt really know anything about Juliet. I believe she should step it up , and become a mother like she should of done years ago instead of having the nurse raise Juliet.

  8. Romeo, is a kinda depressed kind of guy at the moment. But he has his happy moments especially when he meets Juliet. He seems like the kind of guy who hangs on to a girl a little too much. He needs to mature and get over a girl once in a while.

  9. romeo starts off depressed and wanting a girl he doesnt even know he exist, to meeting juliet and falling in love. Romeo seems like a guy who looks at only the beauty in a girl and not what kind of person they are on the inside.

  10. In Act II Romeo seems to have really brightened. He is no longer pining over Rosaline, and he seems to have become a different person. Juliet has also changed, going from a servile girl to a open and somewhat defiant girl. She is no longer so willing to please other people, but rather seems to want to please herself. It may be a bad thong if she becomes to selfish.

  11. Marcutio, although dead now, was an extremely fiery character when he was alive. When he saw a Capulet, even until his final fight with Tybalt, he was full of a constant barrage of insults, including the occasional biting of a thumb. However, he died nobly in the protection of Romeo, but seemed completely dismayed whenever Romeo failed to avenge him while he was still alive. In the end he was viscous enough to curse both the house of the Capulet's, his best friend's enemies, but also the house of his best friends house, the Montagues.

  12. The Prince, a general peacemaker but not very fair. Whenever the matter was purely the Montague's and the Capulet's, he was just enough to simply cancel the fight, slapping everyone on the wrists with a no harm no foul attitude. In that instance he was extremely lenient. However, in the scene containing the first deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt he became extremely angry and immediately demanded who was responsible for the death of his cousin. Then after finding out that Tybalt had slain Mercutio then Romeo had slain Tybalt, he demanded that Romeo be killed, then lowered the sentence to exiled. Romeo betrayed the Prince by killing Tybalt, whom the Prince had more than likely wanted to execute himself. So, when it suits him he is kind, but when it doesn't, all should fear him.

  13. Mercutio is a moron, and really not a good friend. First of all, he picked a fight with somebody who wasn't interested in him at all. Where did that get him? Six feet under. Now you might say that he was sticking up for Romeo, so he was being a good friend. Well no good friend wishes your entire house to be cursed your whole life. I lost all respect for Mercutio's character when he said that.

  14. Romeo is kind of attached to trouble . Wherever Romeo is there is trouble , and the other way around.
It seems like Romeo can never stay away from trouble, where he is killing tybalt and being banished or his wife is being forced to remarry. Romeo isnt Romeo without trouble.

  15. Friar Laurence seems to me like they advice giver. He has the things he says helps peoples problems. He is very trustworthy also. Because he confesses at the very end, when he knew the whole time instead of giving it away. He doesnt seem to bother anyone. And he gets his job done. Like when he found out the letter didnt send he tried making sure Romeo found out as soon as possible.

  16. i agree with sydney . Friar seems to always fix things for people . and yes he does get the job done.

  17. Romeo seems to be very sad at the beginning but then starts to be outgoing and decides to marry someone from the other fueding house which turns out to be trouble for Romeo and the people involved with him

  18. Friar Lawrence seems to have a plan for everything and also seems to fix a lot of problems that Romeo and Juliet have.

  19. i think that prince tries to be fair to both sides but hes sick of the drama and fighting and above all death. and i think that the friar is good at doin his job as a friar, and as being a good friend to romeo, he seems pretty loyal. Lady capulet is concerned only with the way things look on the outside, and capulet is used to having his way, especially when it comes to marriage. Mercutio is stuck on himself and loves to hear the sound of his own voice. and he loves a good fight. tybalt is just obsessed w/ fighting people. benvolio doesnt really like to fight, if he has to he will, but he doesnt like to. juliet is very loyal as she shows us by killing herself when romeo kills himself.

  20. I agree with everything that's been said about Friar Lawrence so far, but I also think he's sort of a philosopher too, which would kind of explain him giving advice all the time. He also seems pretty intelligent because of what he knows about plants and what they do/can do.

  21. Capulet, Lady Capulet, Montague: These three have all made a significant change at the end of the story. Throughout the story previously, they had been immature and baby-ish about everything. Even though it takes their children's death to do so, they gain a sense of maturity and realize what they had been fighting about is stupid.

  22. Romeo seems to never have things really goin for him. He was super sad about rosaline. then he quickly changed when he met juliet. he seems to fall in "love" very quickly. He also has very strong feelings. But as soon as something seems to be goin for him things quickly change.

  23. in the beginning, Romeo seemed alittle conceited about Rosaline, but as things progressed he became less and less conceited. Especially once he met juliet, Romeo became for caring and almost protective of Juliet. Then things took a turn for the worse when he was banished for killing Tybalt, and yet he still refused to leave Juliet forever. So after certain events happened Romeo showed more of his true personality rather than the one shaded by his lust for Rosaline.

  24. Romeo o romeo he is a character. He is obsessed with the women a lover not a fighter. Juliet she is a perfect little girl then she meets romeo. Ends in death and her father finds out why. The nurse and the friar are quite similiar they both seem to want peace. They are also very thankful and like to give.Mercutio he is a fighting type while he belongs to neither of the households he takes side with romeo his best friend. Benvolio seems to be the more quiet of romeos group of friends he also is not a fighter he will fight if neccesary but doesnt start stuff.Tybalt likes to start trouble as much as possible enough said other than he is also a capulet JULIETS COUSIN.Paris seems to be a wannabe perfect person and decided he wanted to marry juliet too late buddy.Capulet seems to be very overprotective of his daughter and all other relatives.Lady Capulet a lot more lenient than capulet yet still hates montagues.Prince Escalus is a neutral person yet is highly about stopping the feud and seems as if he thinks its completely rediculous...

  25. In romeo and juliet the nurse is quite different. in the beginning we learn that she basically takes care of juliet. she knows more about her then her own mother. Juliet looks at the nurse as her advice giver. she goes to the nurse for everything. The nurse agrees to set up her and romeos marriage and that she does. when romeo gets banished the nurse then tries and gets juliet to marry paris.

  26. In the begginiing of the story Romeo is a very whiney young man. we learn that he only "loved" Rosaline because of her looks. then once he met juliet he fell in love with her because he truely did love her for all of the right reasons not just because of her looks.

  27. so like i said all throughout the book i believe romeo is a girly little boy who is cought up in the beauty and rush of hormones in his life.

  28. marcutio is a hot headed and short thoughted man who is rash and as shakespear quotes i saw on the cups in mrs. testers room he is more of earwax than brains.

  29. tybalt is exactly like mercution except for the fact that he is more in defense on his familys pride that just his friend that led to his final end.
